We woke this morning with no plans for the day except to enjoy yet another mild December day outdoors. Ultimately we decided a hike around Evergreen Lake would be an enjoyable option. Once we arrived in Evergreen our plans quickly changed; the lake was already frozen over and the season for ice skating had begun. Eli, familiar with ice skating from watching his favorite show Caillou, was super excited so "why not?", let's give it a try. As with many things that Eli tries for the first time, he loved it! Eli quickly got the hang of it (ie: "hanging" onto our hands) and was particularly interested in the sport of ice hockey!
