Kauai Hawaii: The Beach

To celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary, we took a vacation to Kauai, Hawaii! Kauai is amazingly beautiful and a handful (ok, more than a handful) of our favorites photos follow:

Poipu Beach
Poipu Beach had a lava rock enclosed beach perfect for babies! The water was no deeper than our shins and protected from the surf by a beautiful rock wall. This was Eli first time at the beach and he absolutely loved playing both in the sand and water! Such a happy little beach/water baby! (Makes Mama happy as I love beach vacations!) A short walk away, on the other side of the rocks and a sand bar was a fantastic area for snorkeling. I didn't get any underwater photos but the fish were amazing!

Eli and I had a blast building sand castles and playing in the water!

Lydgate Beach

At Lydgate Beach, there was this incredible wooden play structure that was designed by the local school children. Eli and Grandma Cook had fun playing tic-tac-toe and we all got a little lost in the maze of the structure!
