Happy Halloween!

Eli's favorite toy/topic/book lately has been all about trains so when we asked what he wanted to be for Halloween (even though he doesn't yet understand the concept of the holiday) and he said a "choo choo train" we thought how appropriate! Given our creative skills are limited, we decided dressing Eli as a choo choo train conductor would be the next best thing to actually being a choo choo train; he loved it! He quickly learned many train related terms "All aboard", "Chugga chugga, choo choo", "toot, toot", "clackety, clack" and several others I can't recall at the moment. We're biased but he was soo flippin' cute! The cutest train conductor we've ever seen that's for sure!

And to complement Eli's costume, Thomas the Train of course!

CORNERSTONE HALLOWEEN PARTY

Eli's school hosted a Halloween party for the little ones with trick-or-treating, crafts and a costume parade! It was fun to see several of Eli's classmates and friends in their costumes too!

PUMPKIN CARVING

In the Halloween spirit, Eli and I carved a pumpkin. The best part of carving the pumpkin? Toasting the pumpkin seeds; Eli loved them! Mmmm, good!

TRICK OR TREATING

On Halloween night, the weather couldn't have been better which made Eli's first time trick-or-treating even more enjoyable! Our first stop was at our neighbors Becky and Dick's house (or as Eli would refer to their house, the "kitty house", "Buddy's house" or "Briar Rose's house"...Eli just loves Becky and Dick and their pets!) At another neighbor's house, rather than saying trick-or-treat when they opened the door, Eli asked for a hug!!! Oh that kid, he totally cracks me up and warms my heart at the same time!
